SCI announced increase in Line Security Charge (LSC) as the security measurement costs at almost all the ports are increasing substantially.

It said in the announcement that “In order to partially recover the rising costs, SCI is announcing to apply an increased Line Security Charges for all trades (to and fro). The charges will increase to US$ 10 per container with effect from March, 1, 2010”.
