Appoints Samsara as Agents pan India

Jindal Waterways Ltd (JWWL), part of O.P. Jindal Group, one of the country’s leading industrial houses, which commenced operations in Feb 2008, has over the last two years established itself as one of the most dependable and reputed coastal carrier.

On the container business, JWWL offers regular connectivity between Mundra, Kandla and Pipavav, to Cochin, Tuticorin and Mangalore with a fleet of 4 vessels, thus providing a much more cost effective link in the multi modal loop, involving trucking/rail for the first/last mile connectivity Door/Door.

In addition, JWWL also provides 3 vessels to trade on the bulk cargo business, operating across the coast of India, and a few International ports. This includes lightening operations around Haldia – Paradip – Kolkata, with a range of bulk cargoes. JWWL has its own fleet of self propelled barges, which independently generate, support and assist in developing interests on the Inland river ways.

Equipped with its owned fleet of containers and vessels, JWWL is   planning expansions onto the east coast, with its current and enhanced fleet of container vessels.

Besides the sea operations, JWWL are equally keen to reconcile and expand their presence inland, as well and serve customers deeper inland more efficiently, through their newly established Logistics Division, and additionally in this respect, one of the other triggers has been to appoint Samsara as its agent pan India across all Indian ports and dry ports (ICDs).

Samsara Group’s network of 51 offices across India will provide Jindal’s customers with immediate access to JWWL services.  Including system connectivity allowing document processing, printing and release at all these locations, thus reducing transaction time and promote customer ease.
